It was a rainy Sunday at the Charlotte Bridal Show. But we still had a blast setting up and decorating our booth! Had a great time meeting so many brides and seeing some old faces of vendors in the industry and meeting some new ones.
See our set-up, mostly everyone loved our decor and especially our Pinwheel Taffeta Linens.

White, Burlap and Bling

A Simple white linen table cloth can look just great with some details. In our design for this month we added a natural burlap runner and burlap napkins for a rustic look. Used some tall white pillar candles and decorated the cylinders with vintage pins. We found these gorgeous crystal votive candles and just had to use them for our Table Design. The simple baby's breath flowers keep the design simple, but sweet.

The Head Table gets all the decor. Two sets of tall white pillar candles, Bride & Groom Rustic signs. Burlap runner, napkins and sashes. Added with some bling from the crystal candle holders.

And top it off with a simple but yet elegant baby's breath floral centerpiece!

The guest tables can have either two pillar candles, and one crystal candle holder.

Or a simple baby's breath floral centerpiece with some crystal votive candles can set the mood just right!

The gorgeous Kim and her dashing groom Jesse, were married in our pergola before 60 friends and family members. The ceremony was officant by Rev. Tod Coles from Big Love Weddings. After the ceremony guests were escorted inside Victoria's barn for cocktail hour. Guest enjoyed assorted cheese with crackers and fresh fruits. The couple made sure their guests were well taking care of with a full open bar. Passed chicken satay with spicy ginger marinade and meatballs were enjoyed during cocktail hour. Artichoke spinach dip with pita toast points and Roasted turkey breast with assorted yeast rolls and condiments were also part of the couple's fantastic feast.

Kelly from the Cake Dutchess made the delicious cake and flowers by Flowers by Lingky. Another great event at the Brawley House! Their guests were dancing on their feet by Dj Grant from SMS Productions. We're so thankful that Kim and Jesse chose The Brawley House to be apart of their big day.

They are such a fantastic couple and we at the house and Fine Events Catering wish them nothing but the best. May they live happily ever after.

Our Fall Weddings 2011

Katy & Marty, such a sweet couple to work with. Married in front of our newly build pergola:

Andrea + Brett: Said their vows in front of the steps of the house with about 70 guests. The reception was held inside the house. The decor was impeccable! Love her brooch bouquet.

Brandy + Greg's wedding decor was just beautiful! I love all the different shades of purple that were used. The linens dressed up the tables so elegant and uplighting brought all the decor elements together.

Ginny + Jared's were our first couple to get married in front of the Barn. The guests overlooked from the top and also on the bottom. Such a nice couple and we adore their Fall decorations. Also had a LIVE band to keep their guests off their feet!!!! Thanks Ginny for sharing your professional pictures by your photographer. LOVE the pictures!

Sarah + Chad: This Shabby Chic decor was beyond words. Designed by the bride herself and everything turned out great! The weather was perfect!

Candice + Chip: A Perfect rustic style wedding. Ceremony was held in the pergola ( it's becoming our second most favorite place to say their vows) which was nicely decorated with sheer fabric. Colors of fall decorated the ceremony and the reception. Love the decoration on the cake. Great Job!

Brides to be: Read some good advice from past brides

"Start big and work your way down to the smaller details. Focus on the big, important items first (Budget, venues, catering and guest list). Once those things are done, it is a lot easier to focus on the smaller details (shoes to wear, first dance song, etc.)"

Good Vendors book early, do your research and interview vendors for each service. Make a decision, stick to it and sign a contract for everything."
And please READ your contract, and don't assume anything unless you have it in writing.

A Wedding to Remember

Kyndra and Mathews wedding will be a wedding we will remember for years to come.
Their ceremony was so sweet because they honored both their parents and grandparents which were part of the Bridal party. The groomsmen & bridesmaid escorted them to their seats. But it was Bride whom was walked with her Mother that was so emotional. All the guests stood up to see Kyndra and her Mother walking to meet the handsome groom. After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the back courtyard of Victoria's barn. 250 guests witnessed the Love this couple has for each other and it shows. We would like to wish them the very best in their marriage. The wedding was coordinated by Amanda, who did a Great Job! It was a pleasure working with her.

Courtney & Kody's Wedding

Such a beautiful bride and handsome groom! The groom was dressed in his military attire just looked dashing waiting for his bride to be that arrived in a white horse carriage. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous wearing a light yellow strapless cocktail dress with some cool coral stilettos and the groomsmen also looked very handsome. It was the little flower girl that came in a red wagon that was the cutest person in the bridal party. As the bride was taking her vows her emotions got the best of her and tears came down her face. It was such a beautiful ceremony!

Courtney & Kody, did us the honor and cut our yellow ribbon to inaugurate Victoria's Barn!!

After the ceremony, guest headed to the back courtyard of the Barn and had cocktails and light hors' d'oeuvres. Courtney and Kody cut our yellow ribbon and was the first couple to use the barn for their wedding reception. Guests stayed cool inside the barn with the AC on. Everyone had a awesome time and many memories were made! Congrats to the happy couple.

Angel and Chary's Love Story

Their love story began by a mutual friend online.They were friends for almost a year before realzing they had a mutual friend. At that time, Chary was working with adolescents and continously downloaded pictures of her student's extracurricular activities. On one particular day Angel commented on a picture of her student's cake fight and this is what began their friendship. After weeks of communicating online Angel sent his phone number and she decided to call him after praying about it. When they met for the first time at AMC, they both knew it was Love at First Sight. After three months of dating, one day Angel called Chary and surprised her that he was just minutes away from her work. They went to a movie and dinner. Once they return back to the car he grabbed her hand and told her to sit down for a little bit and close her eyes. He opened the door told her to open her eyes and look in the back seat. To her surprise she found a big, brown teddy bear with a big red bow around his neck and a pink card that read "Open Me' in black ink marker. Inside the envelope there was a CD with the words "Play Me" written in black ink across the CD. Angel asked her to engage in a courtship with him by writing a love song that described their relationship through "Un Mensaje" (A Message).

Angel and Chary's Wedding

"A Dream Wedding" it truly turned out to be a beautiful fairy tale wedding for Chary and Angel. The weather was perfect under 80 degrees and a light breeze. The bride to be Chary arrived in a white horse carriage with her parents and awaiting her was Angel on the steps of the house. They exchanged vows on the steps in front the house. During the ceremony the guest keep cool with a customized keepsake fan made especially for the day. After the ceremony the guest was escorted to the back courtyard for passed hors d'oeuvres and wine.

The happy couple made their grand entrance from the front door and greeted all their guest. They enjoyed some delicious plated food from Fine Events Catering. Everyone had a great time dancing and enjoying the nice weather. Flowers by Lingky, and cake by The Cake Dutchess.

First Communion on May 1st

Congrats to the young man Sebastian Andres who did his First Communion on Sunday. He and his family had a very intimate reception at the Brawley House. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. The decor was just amazing and the food look so delicious!!!

Cocktail Set up

Check out our cocktail set up. The back courtyard is a nice place to have the cocktail hour. In this setting we used a sage green linen that looks beautiful with the blue sash around it. The day was so nice, and I was able to get some nice pictures.

Inside The House

We like to decorate the inside of the house each season. For this season each room has a touch of decor of Spring. I love Spring! It's a good time for us to become better people and start fresh within ourself. Easter is just around the corner, so we have bunny rabbits throughout the rooms.
